The BIG move!!!!

Deep breaths….

Soooooo….

We have NEWS!!!! Over the last six months we’ve shared a space with SewSnips Warehouse at 541 Southlake Blvd.

A couple weeks ago, we fell into a really good opportunity… and this building came up:

Not expecting that it’d even be a remote possibility, we applied to rent it… and magically everything fell into place!

So our massive news this month is all about our new magical cottage at 9830 Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond, VA 23235 (about a mile and a half North East on Midlothian Turnpike from our current location)

Things moved so quickly, and we’re actually grabbing keys this Friday.

Kid camp will still happen Saturday morning at 541 Southlake, and we’ll make magic happen between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning.

We’ll open Monday Sept 15th Morning at 10am at 9830 Midlothian Turnpike!!!

Monday evening will be our very first class in our magical cottage. We’ll be learning all about how to use sewing machine feet.

We talk about vintage feet and new feet in this class and you get an opportunity to use them on my 1954 Singer 201k handcrank

This is one of my favorite topics, so come play! 4-6pm

Clubs are our new project this fall. Every month is a new theme:

Zippers for September

Snaps for October

Pockets for November

Interfacing for December….

Every one of these “clubs” includes the supplies (and machine usage if needed)

Previous sewing experience is suggested but not required

These are one hour for adults and 1.5 hours for kids.

They fill up really fast, so please sign up as quickly as possible.

This is a really fun project for us and we’re finding that it’s a serious skill builder.

Every week is a different project

We try to post the upcoming project the week before on social media and in the eventbrite website, but honestly… I’m swamped so I forget, but they’re all planned till Dec and really fun!

All the prework is done. You’ll have hands on instruction and a lot of entertainment from your teammates in these casual classes.

October’s first adult (second kid) club project

We are seriously excited about these quick clubs and hope to maybe have time to drop more of these on other days in the future.

If you can’t make it to these Saturdays we make extra project bags with the instructions either linked in videos or patterns so you can follow along or make something from home for $35. These will be in the gallery at the new shop Monday.

We’ve partnered with The Featherweight Shop to bring you quality vintage sewing machine supplies inside our shop! No need to wait for shipping, and our next Featherweight (and 301) service and usage class is October 11th. Learn to do basic maintenance and troubleshooting on your own 221/222/301 Singer. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1234981395599?aff=oddtdtcreator there are only a few spots left for this class. We offer it quarterly.

There’s so much going on that I definitely can’t write it all out, so check out our website and follow our calendar at allthingsnewsewing.com

Again, thank you so much for your support. Without creative people like you we wouldn’t be able to do this! You’re amazing!
